Abstract

The rural environment is a geographical location of a countryside or rural landscape where the largest number of natural resources can be extracted from a region. It usually has a small population and its economic activities adapt to the characteristics of the environment. In this environment, activities such as raw material collection or extraction and transformation are essential. The way of life of its inhabitants is based on working the land and natural resources, which is the main source of work. The term rural is associated with rural areas and the activities that take place there, such as agriculture and livestock. This is the main difference with the urban environment, in which the population is generally very large and economic activities tend to consume industry and goods and services.
